Nylatron®
GSM Cable Sheaves
Cable Sheaves have traditionally been made from steel, a material
with several drawbacks. Steel sheaves shorten the useful
life of steel cables; they increase the dead weight
when scaling up; and they are prone to rust. Cable sheaves
cast from 'Nylatron' GSM, a self-lubricating nylon 6,
have none of these disadvantages.

GSM Cable Sheaves Characteristics
- They
weigh only about one-seventh as much as steel sheaves.
So, mobile cranes are more stable and hoisting machines
can lift bigger loads. Fitting time is also shorter.

GSM is corrosion-free, so offshore environments present
no problems.

GSM cable sheaves increase steel cable life up to threefold.
No surprise then that 'Nylatron' GSM cable sheaves are being
used more and more on all kinds of lifting equipment:
from the largest container cranes to mobile cranes;
from offshore cranes to grabs. A range of standard cable sheaves
at prices competitive with those of steel ones. They
can be mechanically finished to any specification. Alternatively
special cable sheaves can be cast to customers own designs.
